Furygan has introduced a host of new products into its range ready for the 2016 season, and will be presenting the new collection for the first time in the UK, at Motorcycle Live at the NEC Birmingham from 28 November to 6 December.
Gents and fans of classic leather jackets with modern levels of protection, will be pleased to see the introduction of the Vince Corsaire, the Vince Banshee and Oural leather jackets to the French manufacturers range. All three have RRP’s of £349.99 and are fashion inspired but also built for protection; the jackets feature D30 protectors, inbuilt back protector pockets and Furygan’s Skin Protect Lining. While the Oural is vest cut and has a high collar, the Vince jackets feature a mandarin collar with single press stud fastener on the neck.
The Furygan Spark jacket, with an RRP of £179.99, is made from high tenacity polyester. With a sporty fit, D30 CE protectors on the elbows and wrists and a waterproof insert, the Spark is a great choice for the UK weather system. There are stretch panels behind the shoulders, adjusters on the wrists, hips and arms and and it features neoprene inserts on the collar and wrists for comfort. There’s a thermal padded removable lining for colder conditions and mesh at the armpits for heat dissipation.
The Furygan Shelby jacket – with an RRP of £349.99, available in black/red and black/white – has drawn its identity from Furygan’s passion for motorsport and as a result has a sporty and aggressive style and fit. Made from 1.4mm full-grain leather – as per the race suits worn by Furygan’s professional racers including the 2015 Moto2 World Champion Johann Zarco and Sam Lowes – the leather has been waterproof treated and areas exposed to abrasion and tearing have been reinforced with triple stitching.
As the name suggests, the Furygan Must All Seasons gloves are designed for use all year round. Packed with all the features of the previous ‘Must’ model, the All Seasons gloves have an added thermal heated lining. Half leather and half textile, the gloves are the perfect compromise. There are multiple areas of protection and reinforcements – including the little finger and ring fingers being held together with a leather bridge to lower fracture risk. The Must All Seasons have an RRP of £69.99.
Rounding out the range of new clothing for the gents are the new D03 Kevlar jeans – the third in the generation of riding jeans from the brand – with an RRP of £149.99. With aramid fibres on the seat, hips and knees and removable D30 protectors on the (adjustable) knees and hips, the areas exposed to tearing in a crash are reinforced with triple and quadruple stitching.
For the ladies, Furygan has introduced the Trekker trousers, with an RRP of £159.99. Made from high tenacity Polyester, the trousers are robust and abrasion resistant. They feature Furygan Skin Protect lining, D30 armour at the knee – which can be adjusted between three positions – and reflective panels on the legs, ankles and kidneys.
The new Jet Lady D30 Sympatex boot – available in black/pink, with an RRP of £99.99 – are fully CE certified, waterproof and equipped to be a perfect riding companion. The main external material is cow leather, with D30 protectors on the malleolus and reinforcements on the toes and heel. The soles are anti-slip and anti-torsion and the flap over the laces prevents them being caught in moving parts.
Over the winter months, hands are often the first part of riders to get cold. Furygan’s mission with the ladies waterproof Eva D30 glove? ‘Make hands feel cocooned’. The Eva D30 features fleece mesh material as well as flexible and absorbent D30 CE protectors. The externals are taken care of by soft goat leather and elastic composite material. The forefingers and thumbs can be used with a touchscreen device.
